I was born in Redmond, grew up in Everett and was fortunate to be raised in a Godly home. After graduating from Everett High in 2002, I took a couple of years off to work in construction and as a commercial fisherman. Then in 2004 I decided it was time to go back to school, so I started at Everett Community College where I received my AA and from there transferred to Northwest University where I majored in Pastoral Ministries and Biblical Studies.

It was at Northwest that I met my beautiful bride, Stephanie. Stephanie and I were married shortly after graduating and have been serving in ministry ever since. We absolutely love working with young people and consider it to be more of a blessing than a job.

Married to:

Stephanie on April 18, 2009.

We have three kids: Tucker, Penelope, and Shepherd—they are the absolute best (no offense to your kids of course).

What I do for fun:

I enjoy all sorts of board sports, camping, playing racquetball and crabbing.

What I like to eat:

Famous Dave’s BBQ is towards the top of my list as well as a little place on the Edmond’s waterfront called Demetri’s Woodstone Taverna (perfect date night spot).

Movies I recommend:

Stephanie and I love to watch movies and so I could recommend several, depending on what mood you’re in, but what gets played most frequently at our house is the Transformers series and the Back to the Future series.

Where I like to travel:

Warm beaches, Southern California, Texas, and just about anywhere new.

A book that has impacted my life:

Deep and Wide: Creating Churches Unchurched People Love to Attend – Andy Stanley

Favorite Bible verse:

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.” – Proverbs 3:5-6

Favorite quote:

“The ingenuity of self-deception is inexhaustible.” – Hannah Moore
